In memory of Douglas William Clarke

My Dad Douglas William Clarke passed away peacefully, after a valiant battle with cancer, on January 6th, 2009 at the age of 76. Although I know your in a better place, it still hurts day to day to know I can no longer see your face, or hear your voice, but soon enough we'll all see you again. Thank you to the hospice and all the wonderful nurses who gave my Dad so much peace in the end.

after glow of smiles
when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo,
whispering softly
down the ways.
Of happy times and
laughing times and
bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those
who grieve,
to dry before the sun.
Of happy memories that I
leave when life is done
