Support Groups for 2008
Groups are offered free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Groups will run for 10 weeks.
Please call (604) 530-1115 to register, or for more information.

Summer Day Camp Series
For children ages 6 to 14 who have lost a loved one due to death. Come join us for adventure and fun with other children who can laugh as hard as they cry and who won’t tell you everything is going to be all right. Each day will begin at 10:00 am and will finish at 3:00 pm.

Tuesday, July 8 ~ Drama Games: If you like to act, dress up, sing, dance or be plain silly, come join us for a day of drama games and improvisation. This one day workshop will be facilitated by Josh Dingwall, a graduate of and volunteer Teaching Assistant at Aldergrove Community Secondary School. Location: Langley Hospice Society

Tuesday, July 15 ~ Nature Adventures I: Choose Your Own Adventure – Outdoor games, learn to use a compass, build a shelter, cook over a fire, hike through forest trails, nature crafts and MORE! Location: Campbell Valley Park

Tuesday, July 29 ~ LHS Cycling Trip: Pack a lunch and bring your bike for a cycling adventure along one of the many bike paths in the GVRD. There will be at least two different groups to accommodate different skill and fitness levels. Location: TBA

Tuesday, August 5, ~ Nature Adventures III: Pack a lunch and join us for a day of fun and adventure in nature. Location: Campbell Valley Park

Camp Chrysalis: Children's Grief Camp - August 22 - 24, 2008 at Camp Elkgrove, 27863 – 0 Avenue, Aldergrove, BC.

Basic Hospice Training
This ten-week, 30-hour hospice training is designed to provide the basic skills and knowledge you need to give emotional support to dying and/or grieving people and their families. The training is offered twice yearly and classes fill up quickly.
